T
he Transportation Center, located
on Ben Franklin Boulevard, is home
to three in-demand programs in the
transportation sector, including Collision
Technology, Automotive Technology, and
the new Diesel Technology program. The
facility is the size of three football fields,
and features state-of-the-art equipment
for today's technologies, and was built
to accommodate evolving technologies,
such as electric and autonomous vehicles.
The community event officially opened
the College's newest facility with a ribbon
cutting ceremony. A " Touch A Truck " area
gave kids of all ages the opportunity to
see a variety of modes of transportation
including fire apparatus from Lafayette and
Witmer fire companies, drag race cars, a
farm tractor and tractor trailer, a SlackXpect
Kart, and other vehicles. The Navy Club
USA Lancaster County Ship 166 displayed a
replica WWII PT Boat.
