ABM, one of the largest facility management services providers in the U.S., announced today that Ray Marquina has been named Ray Marquina engineering district manager. Marquina will oversee the day-to-day engineering operations of the growing company. Marquina comes to ABM with more than 13 years of engineering and property management experience. Most recently, he was a property manager with MW Group Ltd. and also served as the BOMA Hawaii president in 2011. Prior to MW Group, Marquina was a chief engineer for ABM at Pioneer Plaza. Certified Hawaii, an Associa company, announces the rejoining of Jon McKenna as its new chief executive officer. Jon McKenna In his role, he will lead the operations and drive accountability and customer service through the Certified Hawaii team. “Jon has been in the real estate industry for more than 13 years. He will undoubtedly use the tremendous knowledge and experience within his role as CEO of Certified Hawaii,” said Associa Senior Vice President Mike Packard. “His superior leadership qualities and ethical standards have made him ideal for the position.” Before joining Certified Hawaii, McKenna served as the development project manager with Haseko Development, Inc. He was part of the team involved with all aspects of planning and developing the awardwinning master-planned community of Hoakalei Resort. Prior to Haseko Development Inc., McKenna served as vice president of Certified Management Inc., now rebranded as Certified Hawaii. In addition to managing multiple associations for nearly 10 years, he was responsible for acquisition of new clients with a strong focus on developer accounts. McKenna holds the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designation, the highest level of recognition for community manager, from the Community Associations Institute (CAI). Congratulations to Russell Kulinski, ARM® Winner of MRMA’s Mike Venable Excellence in Property Management Award Former Detroit Police Chief Russell Kulinski is Residential Manager of the Admiral Thomas high-rise, managed by Hawaiiana Management Company. The award is in honor of the late Mike Venable, co-founder of the Moiliili Residential Managers Association (MRMA). Mr. Venable was one of the most respected Residential Managers in Hawaii, and instrumental in raising the standard of the profession by fostering education and comraderie between the Residential Managers in Moiliili and beyond.
