March Expo Features 24 Free n addition to the 279 products and services exhibits, there will be 24 informative industry seminars presented at the 5th Annual Hawaii Buildings, Facilities and Property Management Expo scheduled for Wednesday, March 7 and Thursday, March 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Blaisdell Center in Honolulu. Admission to the Expo and Seminars is free. Included in this year’s array of topics will be a session presented by the National Apartment Association (NAA). The NAA is America’s leading advocate for quality rental housing. It is estimated that from 45 percent to 55 percent or more of all apartment and condominium units on Oahu are occupied by renters rather than owner-occupants, and that this number may be larger for the Neighbor Islands. The title of the NAA session is “Ownership Of Rental Units: It’s a Business, Large or Small.” The session will address the benefits, liabilities and opportunities in the current multifamily housing marketplace. Also, important issues now confronting the industry will be discussed, and support services available from the NAA will be reviewed. The NAA seminar will be hosted by the Resident Managers Association of Hawaii and includes free continental breakfast refreshments. It is Thursday, March 8 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in Hawaii Suite #1 of the Blaisdell Center Exhibition Hall. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. I Reservations are suggested but not required.
