HCRA States - results was held at Hanakao'o Beach Park on Maui. A total of 2,472 paddlers raced, This year's Hawaiian Canoe Racing Association State Championships and at the end of the day Hawaiian Canoe Club reclaimed it's State title with 366 points. Last year's champs, Lanikai Canoe Club finished second with Hui Nalu (220) and Outrigger (210) rounded off 307 and Kailua was (293) third. Kai Opua (259), the AAAA Division for clubs entering 21-40 events. Division AAA, for clubs with 13-20 crews, was won by Keauhou Canoe Club (220) followed by Lae'ula (127), Kaneohe (115) and Kihei (110). The AA Division for clubs entering 7-12 events had 14 clubs competing amongst each other. The division winner, Puna Canoe Club, took it with 123 points. Rounding off the top three spots were Waikiki Beach Boys (119) and tied with 107 points for third, Napili and Hui Lanakila. Thirty clubs entered the A Division for clubs with up to 6 teams competing. Na Kai Ewalu won it with 60 followed by Kawaihae Canoe Club (59) and Waikiki Surf Club (48). 4 Pacific Paddler - October 2011
