London-Middlesex region to provide
devices to patients in need, as well as
supplying True North Aid, a program
that brings mobility devices to northern
communities that typically face
additional barriers to access.
Driven by a passion for community
care and involvement, Luo's
young entrepreneurial journey is
one that has already been awarded
and recognized. She is a past recipient
of London Inc.'s 20 Under 40
Junior Achiever of the Year award
and is a finalist for a Limitless 2022
Award presented by TechAlliance
of Southwestern Ontario (awarded
this month, Luo is a finalist in the
Forthcomer category, which recognizes
a young professional working
to create an impact in the world of
innovation).
Luo is also part of the current
Next 36 cohort, a national entrepreneurship
initiative that identifies
and trains Canada's most promising
young entrepreneurs, and recently
became one of 12 members of the
social finance committee at the
London Community Foundation,
reviewing and evaluating funding
opportunities for social enterprises
and non-traditional initiatives that
create a tangible impact in our local
community.
Up next? In addition to leading
RollUp Solutions, Luo is a founding
member and director of product for
a new tech startup called Honest
Empathy (www.honestempathy.ca),
an online platform delivering mental
health solutions.
With accolades,
awards and
education on her side, Luo is a shining
example of the young, spirited
entrepreneurs our region hosts.
