assistance to meet the needs of our
region's employers. We provide a

who are pre-screened and meet job
requirements.
MILITARY-CONNECTED
STUDENTS IN TRADES
The Military-Connected Students in Trades Pilot Project (MCSTPP)
explores the development of a learning-to-employment pathway
for military-connected students (including cadets and Afghan
Interpreter Refugees) entering the construction industry in Ontario.
Training: ESC organizations provide government
funding to offset training costs
for new hires to help them transition.
We also provide training supports for
existing workers as well.
Retention: Job seeker candidates put
forward by ESC organizations tend to be
higher quality and to work out longer-term,
in large part because we help
them to develop good job maintenance
skills. Our organizations offer job coaching
and advanced employment support
for your new employee(s) as needed.
Branding: Increase awareness of your
brand, your organizational culture and
your hiring needs by attending our
Eligible military-connected students can
apply for an apprenticeship program
of their choosing at Fanshawe College
and may receive up to $250 in safety
equipment (boots, safety vest, eye/ear
protection, etc.).
Once accepted (or if already enrolled as a
current student), our team will work with
you to get you successfully placed into an
on-the-job apprenticeship in collaboration
with Helmets to Hardhats. Program areas
include construction, industrial motive
power and service industries.
