For one group, Defebo says it may be visiting the Ca D' Zan
Mansion at The Ringling Museum or a spectacular dolphinwatching lunch or dinner cruise. For another it may be the
learning experience at Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium or
some of the best charter fishing the Gulf of Mexico offers.
Other event options include the spectacular Banyan Trees
at Selby Botanical Gardens, a moonlight kayak tour through the
mangrove tunnels in Sarasota Bay, or a trapeze lesson at Circus
Sarasota.
For a destination of this size, Sarasota offers a lot of bang
for the buck, both in terms of meetings and group experiences.

DAYTONA BEACH
Daytona Beach is continuing to develop its growing cultural
scene, while expanding attractions related to the area's famous
racing heritage. All of this is taking place around an idyllic
waterfront location with a very convenient footprint to navigate.
Daytona also has some of the best values available for a Central
Florida beachside setting.
Currently under development, the Cici & Hyatt Brown
Museum of Art will house the world's largest singular collection
of Florida art when it opens in 2015. The facility is an expansion
of the Museum of Arts & Sciences, with six changing galleries
ranging from 900 to 2,000 sf, and multiple conference and
meeting venues specifically designed for groups.
The $400 million Daytona Rising expansion at Daytona
International Speedway is set to open in 2016, with an
additional 1.1 million sf of shopping, dining, entertainment
and accommodations dubbed "One Daytona." Additional new
development includes the oceanfront Hard Rock Hotel & Cafe
slated to open in 2016.
