Another popular group activity is a visit
to one of the city's craft breweries, such
as Funky Buddha, where the group can
share tiny plates of local specialties, such as
alligator bites. The brewery has a number of
private event rooms for groups of up to 150.

THE PALM BEACHES
Few people realize that the number one
economic driver in Palm Beach County
is agriculture, according to Ashley
Svarney, director of public relations and
communications for Discover The Palm
Beaches. "Between all the farms we have
out to the west and the abundance of
seafood that's available off the coast, our
chefs are able to create very innovative
menus. Sea to table or farm to table is an
everyday occurrence here-it's not a trend."
One farm-to-fork experience that
stands out is at the Swank Specialty
Produce Farm, an organic and hydroponic
farm growing more than 350 varieties of
specialty produce. In what they call their
"Table Series," they set up long farmer's
tables with bench-style seating under a
huge pavilion that was built by the owner.
Each dinner features one course served
up by a list of prominent guest chefs from
the area. Or groups can work with them to
create their own foodie experience for up to
240 guests. "It's as unique of an experience
as you can have here," says Svarney.
West Palm Beach will have a new
foodie district this year, The Warehouse
District, located southwest of the Palm
Beach County Convention Center near
downtown. It comprises eight vintage-style
buildings and a New York-inspired food hall,
Grange Hall Market.
