Caesars Entertainment [ON LOCATION] MONICA VILLAR One phone call delivers a world of fun & glamour decadent dishes created the upbeat tempo for a successful networking dinner. Total meeting space is 300,000 sf. A REALLY BIG SHOW The weekend of nonstop dining, dancing and entertainment climaxed during a lavish reception at the 2,900-room Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. The night began with drinks in one of Paris’ beautiful ballrooms, where immaculately dressed men held out shiny baubles and asked planners to “ice” themselves. Planners exuded elegance as they walked around with a glimmering bracelet in one hand and a glass of fine sparkling champagne in the other. The impressive Versailles ballroom was dressed up with flowing black and white draping, deep red roses on every table and shimmering crystals everywhere. The centerpieces sparkled with rows of crystals surrounding white candles. Bling in the room, bling on the planners—it was everywhere! Entertainment that night included the 90s Aussie pop group, Human Nature, who typically have audiences clapping along to Motown classics nightly at the Imperial Palace Las Vegas. They were followed by Nathan Burton, whose amazing comedy magic routine had everyone laughing one minute and gasping for air the next. His show wows audiences daily at the Flamingo Las Vegas Casino & Hotel. Victor Trevino Jr. followed with his unbelievably cool Elvis Presley impersonation. He’s a member of the cast of Legends in Concert, playing at Harrah’s Las Vegas. The women swooned over his rendition of “Blue Suede Shoes”. George Wallace capped off the event. Wallace gave us a snippet of his show, headlining nightly at the Flamingo. He shared a few of his favorite “I be thinkin’” jokes, which had us in pain from laughing so hard. Wallace has been coined the new Mr. Vegas. As the event reached an end, it was announced that the Jersey Boys are headlining this year at Paris Las Vegas. Speaking with Marianne Eggleston, president of the Miracle for Life Network, she said, “One thing is for sure. They sure know how to plan an event.” Jordan Clark, vp of sales, replied, “We can’t do everything, but we can do anything.”; t he Las Vegas Educational Experience is an annual event hosted by Caesars Entertainment to showcase their latest and greatest developments for planners. The theme for this year’s gala was “Diamonds Are a Planner’s Best Friend.” More than 200 meeting pros and 100 sales managers were flown out to experience all the glitz and glamour Caesars has to offer both on and off the Strip. This year’s big news was the company’s nationwide sales consolidation of their group business. With one phone call, planners can now learn about the entire portfolio. “A lot of people think Caesars and only think about Caesars Palace but we’re here to show them that there’s so much more to it,” said Steve Lowe, director of sales for the West Coast. Attendees were divided among Caesars’ eight Vegas hotels, which combined provide more than one million sf of meeting space and 24,000 guestrooms. We checked in at the iconic 3,348-room Caesars Palace, where during the opening gala, we passed actors dressed like David and the Winged Victory while making our way through the lavish fountains. Everyone was handed a glass of champagne from a graceful Greek goddess on their way into the 2,500-pax PURE Nightclub.
