An exclusive experience for high-end groups is a sail on the Grand 1, a 52-ft yacht that can accommodate 18 guests. It's an entirely way to experience the theme park, cruising out on Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon. Or choose an evening sail and it's like having your own private fireworks display. Menus can be customized for brunch, dinner or a late-night dessert party. Another high-end experience is a shopping evening at the Mall at Millenia, Orlando's mecca for luxury goods. Millennia features the finest retailers, from Ferragamo to Armani, and can host a champagne event for 500 in its atrium, followed by shopping with pre-arranged discounts at select stores, punctuated by champagne breaks along the route. Realistic backdrops are already in place for an unforgettable evening at Universal Orlando. Groups visiting sunny Florida don't expect to spend an evening with penguins, which is why SeaWorld Orlando's newest attraction, Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin, is such a surprise. Groups of up to 750 can enjoy a reception surrounded by the sights and sounds of the frozen Antarctic environment and get up close and personal with the penguins. Major convention groups of 10,000 or more can do a full park buyout of SeaWorld. At Universal Orlando, the realistic backdrops are already in place for an unforgettable evening. Planners can hold a genuine New York block party among the city's most famous landmarks, while street vendors with pull-up carts serve hot dogs, pretzels and other local favorites. Or groups can be transported to Springfield, home of the Simpsons, to hang out with their favorite characters from the long-running animated comedy. All the show's favorite establishments are there, including the Krusty Burger and Moe's Tavern, serving up Flaming Moes. There's even an exclusive brew of Duff Beer on hand. Another favorite at Universal is the The Wizarding World of Harry Potter-Diagon Alley, which has doubled the size of the park's Harry Potter offering. The possibilities for group events are practically limitless, allowing guests to explore the shops restaurants, rides and entertainment while snacking on traditional British dishes such as Bangers and Mash and Toad in the Hole, accompanied by a Butterbeer or pumpkin juice.;;;;;;; 46 | prevue magazine 40-47_Orlando.indd 46 4/23/15 7:09 AM
