magine technology that can transform a
luxurious spa into a lively nightclub with
the touch of a button. This and more are
possible with Uniworld Boutique River
Cruise Collection, which is adding a fifth
Super Ship to its fleet next spring following
the transformation of the River Beatrice into
the S.S. Beatrice. The revamp will include
a reimagined lounge area and the elegant
grand staircase that is featured on all of the
cruise line's Super Ships. New dining venues,
including private dining space, will replace
the Captain's Lounge and Library, and the
ship's existing suites will undergo a refresh,
while two Royal Suites measuring 375 sf and
an Owner's Suite will be added on. Groups
can begin sailing with the S.S. Beatrice
next April.

Joie de Vivre
The announcement of the S.S. Beatrice
follows the launch of the S.S. Joie de Vivre
this past April. The 128-guest Super Ship
sails the rivers of France with an authentic

French experience, including a Parisianinspired design reminiscent of styles from
the 1920s to the 1960s. The ship also
incorporates smart technology to make the
most of its size; for instance, Club L'Esprit, a
spa and wellness center by day, transforms
into Claude's supper club in the evening. A
hydraulic floor covers the swimming pool to
create the entertainment venue's dance floor
where attendees can enjoy live music and
a tapas menu. Other dining options include
Restaurant Le Pigalle, offering French farmto-table cuisine, Salon Toulouse, which
features champagne and cocktail receptions
every evening before dinner, and the
premium Le Cave des Vins, where groups
of up to 10 can prepare their own meal with
the help of the ship's chefs.

Next year's cruising itineraries include the
nine-day "Remarkable Rhine," which sails
from Amsterdam to Basel exploring the art
and cuisine of The Netherlands, Germany,
France and Switzerland. Jewish heritage
excursions are also available on the cruise,
exploring the rich Jewish history and culture
of Western Europe, and attendees can hop
on bikes for a guided bike tour through
Frankfurt's Old Town and Strasbourg's
picturesque Petit France district.
The itinerary also includes seven
immersive "Do As the Locals Do" walking
excursions that let groups experience the
history, art, culture and culinary delights
of selected ports of call as if they lived
there and to interact with locals from cities
such as Basel, Strasbourg, Frankfurt and
Amsterdam. Also new next year is an
enhancement to the existing "Enchanting
Danube" itinerary that lets attendees add
on Prague or Munich to the Central Europe
