Street scene in Tel Aviv.

with the addition of its SkatePark, with
outdoor trampolines, and an adventure
gym, families can enjoy a day outdoors,
go for a swim, and take in the beachside
fun, then wrap up the afternoon with lunch
from one of the popular food trucks.
Dubai is also a cultural hotspot, and
the growth of the Alserkal Avenue Arts
District, and the discovery of relics from
the Iron Age add to its eclectic mixture.
Visitors can explore the city's past on
Dubai Creek, which was once a bustling
trade port, or check out the artifacts at the
Saruq Al Hadid archaeological museum
in the Shindagha district. Then, along the
Sheikh Zayed Road-the longest road in
the Emirates-visitors can discover
the architectural masterpieces of
downtown, including the recently opened
Dubai Opera.
Head over to the Grosvenor House,
a Luxury Collection Hotel, featuring
750 rooms, a pool, and a spa. To say it's
indulgent is to put it mildly. ◆

israel offers visitors a geographically diverse destination within a compact area, encompassing
unmatched beauty and a plethora of adventures. From the Dead Sea to historic Jerusalem and
trendy teL Aviv, Israel does not disappoint.
Meet the "city that never sleeps," Tel Aviv, located on Israel's Mediterranean coastline and the
country's second largest city. This energetic capital has a lively nightlife and a 24-hour culture
ready for travelers to dive into. From lively beaches and trendy bars to the better-known historical
and religious sites, Tel Aviv is a mixture of culture and entertainment.
Jaffa-the southern and oldest part of Tel Aviv-is an ancient port city where one can stroll
through the Old Port and markets, dine at restaurants, and take in its unique charm while
shopping at the flea market, tasting local hummus, or browsing through galleries and exploring
museums. Jaffa's port today features art galleries, cafes, restaurants and shops, as well as the
nalaga'at Center, a unique art complex run by the deaf and blind community.
The tel Aviv Port, meanwhile, in the northwest part of the city, houses some of the city's
trendiest bars, nightclubs, restaurants, and coffee shops. Its seaside promenade is a great spot
to people-watch or just take in the scene. And, once the sun goes down, the port transforms into
one of the liveliest areas for nightlife.
At Habima Square, visitors can visit three of the city's most important cultural institutions-
the Habima national theatre, which was recently expanded; the Mann Auditorium,
home of the israel Philharmonic Orchestra; and the Helena Rubinstein Pavilion for
Contemporary Art. The Carmel Market, the city's biggest marketplace, is located on the
corner of King George and Allenby streets and brims over with vibrant colors and over-the-top
energy as stalls line each side of the street, and vendors showcase their goods from bread and
pastries to olives, exotic spices and fresh produce. If you're more into the arts, check out the
Artists Market, better known as Nachlat Binyamin, where on Tuesdays and Fridays vendors
display their merchandise, which ranges from jewelry and ceramics, to toys and other handmade
goods. All of this interspersed with performance artists, fortunetellers, and clowns.
Don't miss the White City, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, recognized for its
Bauhaus architecture, most of which can be found on Rothschild Boulevard and around Shenkin.
At the end of the day, curl up in bed at the Dan tel Aviv Hotel, an iconic oceanfront hotel
with luxury accommodations. It's been said that numerous celebrities have stayed at The Dan
when visiting the city. ◆
