Artistic, romantic, charming and stunning, PUERTO

SEE/DO: There's lots to see and do, but the city's
Botanical Gardens, just outside the city limits, are truly
mesmerizing with its abundance of bougainvillea, rose
gardens, aquatic plants, cacti, ferns, tropical fruit gardens
and stunning views. Back in the city, you'll want to take
a stroll along the malecon, the ocean promenade that
extends for a half-mile hugging the sea. It's dotted with
restaurants, galleries, shops and those iconic sculptures.
Want to get a little adventurous? Then you have your pick
of game fishing, snorkeling, diving, kayaking, jet skiing, ATV,
rappelling, mountain biking, hiking, parachute jumping,
paddle surfing, surfing, and kite surfing.
SIGNATURE EVENT: The International Regatta brings
together mono-hull and multi-hull sailboats to sail on the
bay in the month of March, while the International Marlin
and Sailfish Tournament takes place in November.
STAY: There's a new boutiquey property in Puerto Vallarta,
the chic, minimalist-style, 55-room Hotel Amapa, part of
the Design Hotels portfolio. Located in the city's historic
Old Town one block from Playa Los Muertos, the hotel
provides several food and beverage options highlighting
local flavors with coastal Mexican cuisine as well as a
rooftop pool and bar.

The Steel Museum - Oven 3 is one of the city's landmarks
and speaks to its history.

Known as an industrial and economic center, MONTERREY,
the country's third largest city, is also rich in green areas and
historic monuments. The city offers everything from mountainous
landscapes and thermal springs to unique museums and one of
the coolest bookstores in the world, Conarte.
SEE/DO: Dig into history and science with a visit to The Steel
Museum - Oven 3, an interactive science and technology
center. Established as a foundry almost 100 years ago, the
museum, located within Fundidora Park, shows the living history
of the industrial process of the steel mill and the development of
the city. Want to enjoy the outdoors? Go biking along the paths
of the Protected Natural Area of Chipinque Ecological Park.
It's said to be a challenging ride, but well worth it for the beautiful
vistas. Do take time to stroll through the Barrio Antiguo, with its
trendy shops, cafes and galleries.
SIGNATURE EVENT: The Monterrey International Film
Festival, which takes place in August, is among the top five
film festivals in Mexico. Films are shown in theaters across
the city and include international films, Mexican features and
documentaries, as well as short films and a student short
film showcase.
STAY: The Live Aqua Urban Resort Monterrey, located in
the city's ultra-modern financial and corporate sector in the
new Trebol Park development, is a contemporary, uber-chic
oasis where guests can choose the "scent" of their stay from an
