Vegas Bites Paloma Villaverde de Rico & Melissa Bryant A Shower of Stars at Caesars Forbes has showered The Laurel Collection by Caesars Palace with four stars, while the Restaurant Guy Savoy received a total of five starry nods. The high-end The Laurel Collection accommodations, which combines premier accommodations of the Augustus and Octavius Towers, include such luxury touches as a dedicated service staff, spacious floor plans, plush pillow-top mattresses, luxurious linens, and upgraded bath products. The Restaurant Guy Savoy, meanwhile, houses the only Krug Chef's Table in the U.S., which provides guests a 6-seat table with an intimate view of the kitchen while they enjoy a tasting menu curated to pair perfectly with Krug's prestige cuvee Champagnes. For gastronomy aficionados, Caesars Palace recently opened the doors to MR CHOW, serving traditional Beijing cuisine. This being Vegas, after all, it's no surprise that the restaurant serves up more than fabulous dishes, including a Champagne lounge entry point, and a kinetic sculpture that hangs from a 60-ft. dome and that throughout the evening puts on a 4-minute show as it maneuvers into various configurations. The dessert selection is also sublime, presented on a custom-made Christofle trolley and including Grand Marnier marinated oranges and toasted coconut cakes, among other divine morsels.
