BOP, a marketing alliance of luxury independent hotel and cruise members, focuses on the Southern Cone countries of Argentina and Chile. The most recent addition to the BOP family is Vines Resort & Spa outside Mendoza, Argentina. Coming next year will be the Uman Lodge, located in the Los Lagos region of Chile, near Futaleufu. The lodge has 16 beautiful suites, a restaurant, a wine cellar, indoor-outdoor heated pool, spa and fitness center, and a full roster of guest activities including mountain biking, trekking, fly fishing, rafting, kayaking and agritourism experiences. The tie that binds many of Costa Rica's finest luxury boutique hotels is Enchanting Hotels Costa Rica, whose newest member is opening this month-an eco-boutique hotel at Rancho Humo Estancia, located at the border of Palo Verde National Park in the wildlife-rich wetlands and mangroves of the Tempisque River Delta. Echoing a traditional and authentic ranch lifestyle, rooms with balconies and grand views feature high-end amenities. Transfer in on a boat safari tour for preview sampling of fabulous birdlife and flora. A newcomer at TMLA from Argentina was Tangol Tours, offering perhaps the grandest bonanza of Buenos Aires tours ever counted (66). On the roster are the Football Stadiums Tour, the El Tigre Rowing Tour, the Pope Francis Tour, Gaucho Days at different estancias, and cooking classes. On tours for dancers serious about their dance skills, Tango Week arrangements range from shopping for dance slippers to nightly outings in milonga dance halls. The company combines Buenos Aires with tours all over Argentina and beyond. Look for a new addition to Ecuador's Oro Verde Hotels' family in Guayaquil. Opening in early 2016 is the Hotel del Parque, occupying the 19th century Hospice of the Sacred Heart located in Guayaquil's historic park. The restoration and conversion is extraordinary, producing 44 super-spacious rooms and suites. Guest facilities will include gym and massage rooms, and the restaurant will occupy the adjacent historic Casa Julian Coronel, which faces the Daule River. Among the newest airline services are American Airlines flying between New York (JFK) and Caracas, as well as nonstop Dallas (DFW) to Quito. Additionally, Delta Air Lines is flying daily between Orlando and Sao Paulo, and this month, the airline starts service to both Medellin and Cartagena from Atlanta five
