For starters, the master planned community of Kanai is welcoming the likes of Park Hyatt, W Retreat, St. Regis and Auberge Resorts, for a total of 847 rooms. In addition, the beachfront Kanai will feature two golf courses, a beach club and private residences. Then there’s the up-and-coming Hard Rock Riviera Maya, which will merge two existing properties that sit side-by-side—the Aventura Cove Palace and Aventura Spa Palace—and transform them into one “ultimate all-inclusive” resort. One building will be family friendly—think a teen club with gaming cabanas, multiple pools and a new dinner theater venue—while the other will cater to adults with a grotto pool for afterdark diversions, the brand’s signature Rock Star Suites and a grand spa. The transformation will begin next fall and, besides housing an extensive collection of rock and entertainment memorabilia, will welcome an ongoing schedule of live concerts and fun events. But not only is the Riviera Maya generous in accommodation options and activities, it also continues to set trends in hospitality. Sandos Hotels & Resorts, for instance, is adding to the romance offerings with an Adults-Only program for ages 21 and up at both Sandos Caracol Eco-Resort and Spa and Sandos Playacar Beach Resort & Spa that includes adult-only rooms, separate pools and beach lounge areas, and many extras. The Adults Only Select Club within each property now allows guests the chance to indulge in all existing family-friendly amenities while enjoying added privacy and grown-up perks, like clubhouse access, adults-only restaurants, beach concierges, and more. “Thanks for this great news.
