CALLING ALL YOUTH
TREK INTO SUMMER CHALLENGE
The Wyoming Outdoor Expo is about learning
new skills, improving old skills, and finding
new ways to challenge yourself outside.
Spring is just beginning and what better way
to get ahead than with the Wyoming Outdoor
Expo Trek into Summer Challenge?!
On Saturday, youth can pick up a Trek into
Summer Challenge card at the information
booths just inside the front doors of the Ford
Wyoming Center.
Visit at least two exhibits from each of the
four trail categories to give you the knowledge
and resources to get you comfortably
outside and enjoying Wyoming's wildlife and
wild places.
Adventure Trail: Gain the skills and
knowledge to adventure into Wyoming's
wild places safely at a myriad of booths
including snowshoeing, canoeing, orienteering
and outdoor survival skills.
Conservation Trail: Looking for a
more in-depth understanding of Wyoming's
wildlife and wild places?
The Conservation Trail includes learning
about wildlife migration, fish and
wildlife diseases, and habitat health.
Fishing Trail: Get fishing with
activities such as fly tying and casting,
discover fishing opportunities throughout
Wyoming and learn to tie knots and
rig up your rod.
Hunting Trail: Start or continue your
journey as a hunter and go down the
Hunter Safety and Ethics trail, visit
the shotgun or rifle range for expert
instruction, learn to use the online
Wyoming Game and Fish resources and
maps - and much more.
Bring your completed Trek into
Summer Challenge card to the North
Platte Walleyes' spin casting exhibit
(Booth 130) to claim your prize- while
supplies last! Youth 18 and under
with 10 continuous years of Wyoming
residency will be entered into a drawing
for additional prizes, including a
lifetime bird/small game license and
lifetime conservation stamp.
