Chocolate Pot de Crème SERVE S 2 Chocolate is forever identified with Valentine's Day and this easy-to-make chocolate pot de crème is just right as the finale to a dinner for two. 1½ cups heavy cream 2 large egg yolks, whisked with a fork 5 tablespoons sugar Pinch salt 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 3 ounces bittersweet chocolate, roughly chopped (plus extra for garnish) ¼ cup finely chopped amaretti cookies (optional) 1. In a medium saucepan, heat 1 cup of the cream, egg yolks, 4 tablespoons of the sugar and a pinch of salt over medium heat. Don't let the mixture boil. Stir the mixture until it is thick enough to coat the back of a spoon. 2. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla. Add the chopped chocolate and set aside for about 4 minutes. 3.
