The rest of the region is fairly balanced or slanted toward
inbound traffic. Louisiana has the highest percentage outbound
at 54.2 percent, while North Carolina has the highest
percentage of inbound shipments at 57.3 percent.
The most popular destination for shipments leaving the
Southeast region is Texas, which tops the list for six out of
the nine states in the region. The other top spots are nearby
destinations, with much of the traffic moving between states in
the Southeast region.

House Price Index
(2017 Q2 Report)

Looking at some of the most popular cities in each state
in the region we see a large number of inbound shipments.
Charlotte is top of the list with 62.8 percent of all shipments
coming into the region. Nashville is second with 59.7 percent
inbound shipments. The only cities on our list with more
shipments going out are Louisville, Ky., and New Orleans.
Many cities in the Southeast region continue to be attractive
to young professionals due to the growing job opportunities
and lower cost of living. It also doesn't hurt that the weather
tends to be a little milder year-round compared to some of
the bigger cities up North. Movers can expect to see a lot of
shipments moving in this region as the population continues to
migrate into this area.
