[Ed. We inadvertently printed the wrong parents
in the May/June issue and apologize for this
oversight and any pain or confusion it may have

The CCAR cares about its rabbis! And we show it in lots of ways!
But, when an issue arises, and the pain, anxiety, and/or grief takes over our
emotions, we can feel bemused as we look for the support we know the
CCAR wants to provide for us.
We, Steve Arnold and Connie Golden, want to make sure that when you’d just
like to be able to talk with someone who has shared your issue, who can listen and say truthfully,
“I understand; I’ve been there,” we are the people who can help. Contact either one of us to be
matched with a colleague who will be not a counselor per se, but a caring listener and supporter.
You may reach both of us at
We’re always happy to receive names of rabbis who have personally lived through daunting
difficulties and would like to help colleagues as well.
