Barclay Griffiths, Managing Director and CFO, Beverage Marketing Corporation

In this session Barclay Griffiths will discuss the current status of the bottled water category in the context of the overall U.S. beverage marketplace. He will provide historical analysis of the key bottled water segments and individual company performances coupled with BMC’s 2009 Industry Outlook and projections for the category’s future. The session will also discuss the current landscape of bottled water valuations.

This session will answer the question, “What can IBWA do for me?” Key IBWA leaders, members, and staff will highlight the work of the association, and how that work impacts your company and the industry. Discover what IBWA resources are available so you can maximize the value of your membership and find helpful solutions for the challenges your company faces.

Attention Bottled Water Plant Operators!
IBWA Certified Plant Operator Program
The IBWA Code of Practice requires members to have at least one Certified Plant Operator (CPO) in each member facility. InterBev 2010 is an ideal time to become certified, or to obtain CEUs to keep your certification current. To become certified, use the IBWA Plant Technical Reference Manual and Bottled Water Code of Practice to study for the CPO exam, scheduled for Friday, September 24, 2010. To keep certification current, CPOs may either retake the CPO exam every three years or accrue the required 18 CEUs within each three-year period – which averages out to only 6 CEUs per year. At this year’s convention, 16 CEUs are available. Just look for the sessions marked with this symbol:

Bottled Water Plant Tour (1 CEU)

Tour DS Waters’ bottling facility which produces 1-gallon, 3/5-gallon, and 2.5-gallon spring, purified, distilled and fluoridated water products for residential and commercial customers throughout Central Florida. This tour will include DS Waters’ state-of-the-art purification processes, world-class disinfection systems, state-of-the-art mineral injection, and robotic loading technology. Bus transportation will depart from the Orange County Convention Center. You can select one of four departure times and will want to allow 2 hours for the transfers and tour. (Ticketed event.)
