Join Us for Foundation Day
at ILMA Engage 2020

LMA Engage 2020 is shaping up to be a must-attend event. If you've visited the
ILMA website (www.ilmaengage.org) to view the meeting program, I think you
will agree that we have a top-notch program planned. But this time, what we're
most excited about is our all-new Foundation Day on Saturday, April 4.
The ILMA Foundation is best known for its scholarship
program, but the Foundation Board of Governors has
expanded the mission of the organization to include industry
education and research. Through Saturday's activities, we
hope members who participate will come away with a better
sense of what the Foundation is working to accomplish under
its new leadership. Here are some highlights:

ILMA Town Hall Breakfast: Bring your questions to this
D AY
interactive session covering some of the industry's top issues,
including an update on ILMA's initiative to require additional labeling for obsolete oil
and tractor hydraulic fluids. You will also hear a status report from API on the pending
launch of GF-6. Finally, GM has been invited to address dexos licensing issues.
ILMA Talks About AI: Join us for a late-morning ILMA Talk on artificial
intelligence (AI) and learn not only about the history of AI, but also opportunities
and strategies for independent lubricant manufacturers.
ILMA Conversations and the Art of the Deal: Learn about the keys to making
successful deals. Yes, it is possible to engineer a transaction that combines the right
partner, structure and economics. The presentation will include a discussion about
how "working backward" from your goals is the key to successful dealmaking, as
well as how to successfully design and navigate the M&A process.
Fun Time: Leave your afternoon open for play at the ILMA Foundation
Golf Tournament on the scenic championship course at The Grove Park Inn. If
you're not a golfer, join us for a tour of the iconic Biltmore estate. Built in 1895,
Biltmore was the home of George and Edith Vanderbilt. It has been faithfully
preserved, still containing original furnishings and masterpieces of art. Displaying
an authentic view of America's Gilded Age, touring this estate is a one-of-a-kind
experience, combining stunning mountain views with a truly majestic home and
inspirational gardens.
The day will conclude with a reception, where attendees will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with the Foundation Board of Governors and learn more
about the scholarship program and other activities the Foundation supports.
