for the scholarship program by contributing so generously!
Over the past 16 years, the ILMA Foundation Scholarship Program has awarded
nearly $400,000 in scholarships to 131
students. Of these, 83 have graduated from
college and 32 continue to receive funding
and work toward their degrees. Most of the
scholarships have gone to ILMA employees' children, many of whom are pursuing
careers in the lubricants industry.
In 2016, there were an incredible 115
scholarship applications, the most ever,
and 30 percent more than the previous
year. More than $63,000 was raised for
these students, which goes to show just
how generous this industry really is! Some
of the students expressed their gratitude
in a brand new video that can be viewed
on the ILMA YouTube channel.
At the ILMA annual meeting in October, outgoing President Frank H. Hamilton III announced that as the incoming
ILMA Foundation board chairman, he
was "upping the ante" to raise $70,000
toward the scholarship program this year.
