& Tire Co. Inc., a fuel and lubricant
distributor headquartered in Augusta,
Georgia, with a second facility in
Waynesboro, Georgia. This acquisition extends RelaDyne's geographical
footprint in the southeastern U.S.
A&W Oil serves eastern Georgia
and western South Carolina with
quality fuels and lubricants. As part of
RelaDyne, A&W Oil will handle this
geography with expanded products and
capabilities. The introduction of RelaDyne Reliability Services to A&W's
marketplace and manufacturers will
add substantial value to the current and
prospective A&W Oil customer base.

RichardsApex Inc. has announced the
hiring of Jon C. Holland as its new
compliance and process manager.
Holland graduated from Temple
University College of Science and Technology with a Bachelor of Science in
chemistry and a minor in mechanical
engineering. Holland's responsibilities
at RichardsApex will include regulatory compliance, environmental,
health and safety, ISO and training
requirements. In addition, Holland
will help with plant and maintenance
management. He currently lives in
Philadelphia. Richards Apex Inc. is
excited to have Holland on staff and
looking forward to contributions he
will make as it manufactures, sells
and services metalworking lubricants
throughout the world.

ILMA was saddened to learn of
the passing of Leslie B. Lampton,
chairman emeritus of Ergon, the
energy-based company he founded in
1954. He was 92 years old.
Lampton served in the Navy during
World War II, then again during
the Korean conflict. After school, he
and his wife, Dorothy, came home
to Jackson, Mississippi, and entered
the oil business. He founded Ergon
in 1954. Sixty-four years later, the
company employs more than 2,600
people in 29 states and abroad.
Friends say whether it was buying Girl
Scout cookies or funding scholarships,
Lampton's influence as a philanthropist
was monumental. The businessman supported a number of medical, educational
and religious causes, and usually asked
that his name not be mentioned.
Sadly, Lampton's wife of 69 years,
Dorothy Lee Crum Lampton, also
passed away shortly after her husband
on April 29. They are survived by
their sons Les, Lee, Bill and Robert,
and their spouses, and a host of
grandchildren, great-grandchildren
and extended family.
