reflect and collect their thoughts.
* Break into small groups, even
twosomes, to bring out the thinking of those who might be less apt
to speak up in a group scenario.
* Offer an opportunity for meeting
participants to ask questions before the meeting to obtain clarity
on a proposal.
* Open the meeting by asking each
person in the room to answer a
question, setting a time limit for
the answer. Use the opportunity
to get to know each other better,
share insights and practice listening to each other.
* Have the group leader or facilitator actively create an opportunity
for each person to speak while
* Offer opportunities for participants to write down their
thoughts and have the facilitator
read them out anonymously.
* Have each person speak directly
to the facilitator, not each other,
if the topic has a lot of emotion
attached to it. Invite others to
ask a question of the speaker, but
direct it to the facilitator.

Compoundings, the monthly magazine of the Independent Lubricant Manufacturers Association (ILMA), is published
and owned by ILMA.
The listed publisher, as filed with the United States Postal Service (USPS), is ILMA. The listed editor and managing
editor, as filed with the USPS, is Brenda Gillinson. The address of the owner, publisher, editor and managing editor is
ILMA, 675 N. Washington St., Suite 275, Alexandria, VA, 22314. There are no bondholders, mortgagees or other security
holders owning or holding any bonds, mortgages or other securities. The purpose, function and status of ILMA has not
changed during the preceding 12 months.
$60 of membership dues is earmarked for member subscriptions to Compoundings each year.
For the 12 months prior to this issue, the magazine averages a 2,160-copy press run, with an average paid or requested
circulation of 1,861 copies and an average of 116 copies distributed outside USPS for a total of 1,977 copies total average
paid and/or requested distribution. On average, 17 copies are distributed through the USPS by other classes of mail, and
2404 nonrequested copies are distributed outside the mail for a total average nonrequested distribution of 200 copies.
Average total distribution is 1,977 copies. Average copies not distributed (for archival purposes) is 35 percent of each press
run goes to paid or requested mailings of Compoundings.
For September 2018 issue, press run was 1,974 copies, with paid or requested circulation of 1,843 copies and 98 copies
distributed outside USPS for a total of 1,941 copies total paid and/or requested distribution. Thirty-four copies were
distributed through the USPS by other classes of mail, and 12 nonrequested copies were distributed outside the mail for a
total nonrequested distribution of 12 copies. Total distribution was 1,958 copies, and 12 copies were not distributed. One
hundred percent of this press run went to paid or requested mailings of Compoundings.
This statement of ownership is published as required by 39 U.S.C. 3685, and an accompanying PS form 3526 is filed
with USPS in accordance with the same requirement each year.
