operations/logistics department and made deliveries with the
company's truck drivers and sales calls with its sales team.
But it was the seven-year stint she spent at Lockheed
Martin Missiles and Fire Control in Orlando, Fla., that
enabled Kudis to intimately understand the complexities of
a large-scale corporation and the processes required to run it
effectively. There, she started as a logistics analyst and eventually worked her way up to international program manager.
After obtaining her MBA from Crummer Graduate
School of Business at Rollins College, she moved back to
Pittsburgh in 2007, completed the University of Pittsburgh's
Entrepreneurial Fellows Program and rejoined Allegheny
Petroleum, bringing with her the experiences from a large
corporation. "I was able to use my knowledge and best practices and integrate that into Allegheny Petroleum," she said.

Over the last decade, Allegheny Petroleum has grown
steadily. Revenue has increased 27 percent, and the company
has expanded its manufacturing capacity by 50 percent by
adding plants in Evansville, Indiana, in 2013, Angleton,
Texas, in 2015, and Kingston, Jamaica, in 2017. The
company also operates two plants in Pittsburgh.
Kudis imagines even more success for her company.
"We plan to expand our sales footprint and manufacturing
capacity as well as increase our logistics infrastructure. I
would like to see us take advantage of technology in all
aspects of business to create efficiencies and stay ahead of the
curve," she said. "At the end of the day, we know that the
results of our decisions and the success of our business are
important to all of our employees, their families and many
other stakeholders."
COMPETITIVE, TOUGH LEADERSHIP
Frank H. Hamilton III, president of South Atlantic Services
Inc., has worked closely with Kudis through ILMA and says
that he is looking forward to the leadership she will bring to
the Association.

different viewpoints while moving the group to efficient
decisions," Hamilton said, adding that Kudis is very conscientious. "She knows when to push for conclusions and when to
let the discussion meander, which is an important skill."
