LSC SIGNS LETTER OF INTENT
WITH AMALIE
Previously a wholly owned subsidiary
of Drummond Co. Inc., Jasper Oil
provides all petroleum-based products
needed for mining operations. This
acquisition builds upon RelaDyne's
strong geographic presence in Alabama
and further solidifies RelaDyne's existing
service capabilities in the mining industry.
Jasper Oil is a regional lubricant and
fuel distributor in Alabama. As part
of RelaDyne, Jasper Oil will enhance
RelaDyne's distribution capabilities and
provide increased operating efficiency
for RelaDyne's existing Southeast
regional operations. Jasper Oil will
also strengthen RelaDyne's existing
relationship with its branded lubricants
partners and provide a strategic evolution to future organic growth.
"The sale of Jasper Oil is in line with
our corporate strategy of divesting
non-core assets, but more importantly,
the strategic merits of the combination with RelaDyne is a true win-win
scenario for our operations and our
incredible team of employees," said

of Drummond. "With RelaDyne's
existing Alabama operations and
breadth of products and services, we
expect Jasper Oil will integrate seamlessly with the RelaDyne team."

Amalie Oil Co. has entered into a
letter of intent to purchase the U.S.
business of Lubricating Specialties
Co. (LSC). LSC currently has three
production facilities in the Los
Angeles area. Amalie operates facilities
in Tampa, Florida, and Charleston,
South Carolina.
Together, the combined business
will sell to and service lubricant
product customers. "Both companies have a rich history and strong
culture of quality and service," said
Sydney Thwaites, CEO of LSC. "We
are excited about the synergies that
combining the companies brings
to enhance our ability to serve our
customers at the highest level."
