variety of lubricants, he said. He added
that anything placed in a bottle, whether
shampoo or olive oil, has gotten there
through the manufacturing process. "It
is high-speed and commercialized," he
explained. "We produce millions of widgets, and to produce millions of widgets,
you have to mechanize and automate.
That means you're going to have a lot of
conveyors and equipment."
If lubricants were ever eliminated
or curtailed, all of the equipment
that makes and moves products from
point A to point B would come to a
grinding halt, Hamilton said.

which provide protection for needles,

have to interface with the ancillary
processes that follow the fabric construction," Powell said.

When temperatures spike, people
rely on their air conditioners to keep
them comfortable and safe, but when
feeling the chilled air coming through
the vents, most people don't think
about the compressor, screws, scroll
or rotary, or the number of moving
parts inside, said Flavio Kliger, general
manager, industrial formulated fluids
and greases for Lubrizol. "Every
moving part needs to be lubricated.
Otherwise, friction occurs, and that
would wear the compressor out,
reducing efficiency and leading to
failure," he explained.
