and clear way. Fred's colleague Ed Potter put it nicely: "He is a scholar and a
gentleman, and a real joy to work with
as a salesperson. He will be missed."
Jimmy Rasco, Ergon
Jimmy Rasco, vice president of
global base oil technology at Ergon,
retired Sept. 9 after 24 years with the
company. Jimmy was instrumental in
the global recognition and growth of
Ergon's HyVolt Electrical Insulating
Oils. Throughout 44 years in the
industry, Jimmy has been involved
in numerous associations, including serving as chairman of ASTM
Subcommittee 27.01 for Mineral Oil.
An incredible resource, influence and
friend to his co-workers, Jimmy will
be missed by the Ergon family.
Gray Savage, BOSS Lubricants
Gray Savage, vice president of finance
for BOSS Lubricants, announced his
full-time retirement after 11 years of
contributing to the successful financial
strategy and growth strategies of the
company. BOSS wishes Gray well in
his future as he spends time golfing and
skiing instead of financial reporting.

After 17 years in accounts payable
with BOSS Lubricants, Bev Scarbar
has officially announced her retirement. Bev has been an integral part
of BOSS' successful growth, and the

Rick Shook, Pilot Chemical Co.
Rick Shook retired from Pilot Chemical
Co. in June after nearly 40 years, most
recently serving as vice president of
research and development. "I never
dreamed it would last me 40 years," he
said, "but the job was continuously challenging and renewing, with something
new always coming down the pike."

After working with the Carl
BECHEM organization for over 18
years, John Steigerwald has retired as
president of BECHEM Lubrication
Technology LLC. With his great
industrial knowledge, experience and
network, John contributed to the
success and strong positioning of the
company in the U.S. market. He has
been in the global specialty lubricants
and metalworking fluids industry for
40 years and has been very active in
many trade, industry and technical
groups globally. The Carl BECHEM
and BECHEM Lubrication Technology family thanks John very much for
all his ideas, leadership and management contributions to their company
and wishes him and his family all the
best in his retirement and many years
of good health and happiness!

John Kevin Traywick, JK Nippon Oil &
Energy USA Inc.
John Kevin Traywick, general manager
of production planning for JX Nippon
Oil & Energy USA Inc., retired in
June. Kevin was a member of the
management team assigned to start the
company's Lubricants Alabama Plant
in Childersburg, Alabama. He played
a key role in customer/vendor relationships and frequently attended ILMA
events. Kevin plans to spend his time
in retirement with his wife, Sharon,
and four grandchildren.
Jeff Turner, Lubrication Engineers
Jeff Turner, executive vice president of
Lubrication Engineers, is retiring Jan.
2, 2019, after 32 years. "Jeff's passion,
global reach and leadership [have]
impacted our company and the industry. He will be missed, but we wish
him a long and happy retirement,"
said Scott Schwindaman, president
and CEO of Lubrication Engineers.
