Institute of Transportation Engineers Signs
Memorandum of Understanding with Council
of University Transportation Centers
ITE signed a memorandum of understanding
(MOU) with the Council of University Transportation Centers (CUTC) in conjunction with
the recent ITE International Board of Direction Meeting. This MOU forms a collaborative
working partnership to advance common
interests and initiatives and to support both
student-run activities and technical cooperation, providing the foundations for ITE and
CUTC to formally engage and work toward
common goals. Areas of collaboration include:
*
Promoting career development opportunities available through the UTCs
to ITE's student chapters and young
professionals.
*
Fostering ITE's Student Leadership
Summits and working together to
promote the events.

*

*

Helping UTCs connect with practitioners on technical issues and
research-related projects.
Making each other's memberships
aware of ongoing activities and opportunities to work together.

About CUTC
The Council of University Transportation Centers (CUTC) was established in 1979 by the
major transportation research centers and
institutes in the United States. The CUTC provides a forum for the universities and centers
to interact collectively with government and
industry. The CUTC works to raise the profile
of university research and education, so that
university transportation centers are recognized and called upon for the knowledge
