During her six years at Northwest Federal Credit Union, Taddeo has proved
herself to be capable of leadership in
several different areas. During her first
five years at Northwest, Taddeo oversaw
the credit union's regulatory compliance.
Last year, she was promoted to vice president of marketing, where she now oversees communications, events, creative
services and marketing strategy. With
her special blend of expertise, Taddeo
has come to be known at Northwest as a
creative problem-solver capable of taking
on challenges in any number of areas.

Justin's co-workers at St. Cloud Federal
Credit Union say it is impossible to
separate the credit union's success from
her years of leadership. Justin began
work at St. Cloud in 1979 as a teller.
One of just five employees then, she
would rise in the ranks to executive vice
president by 1996. Justin even served
briefly as interim CEO before the next
CEO arrived and promoted her to chief
operations officer/executive vice president in 2015.

Marotta has been with Hanscom Federal
Credit Union in one capacity or another
since 1976, and employees say he is still
an almost daily presence there. After
serving on the credit union's supervisory
committee, Marotta was elected chairman of the board in 1992.

Harmonie Taddeo, Northwest Federal
Credit Union, Herndon, Va.

A graduate of NAFCU's Management
Leadership Institute and a NAFCU Certified Compliance Officer (NCCO), Taddeo
has represented Northwest through
speaking engagements, serving on committees, serving as chair of the Capital
Area Compliance Roundtable and serving
on NCUA working groups focused on
bylaws and field-of-membership issues.
Taddeo has also represented Northwest
in charity work, such as the Credit Union
Cherry Blossom 5K. Taddeo has also
led her marketing team in fundraising
for the Northwest Foundation Night of
Magic, a local food bank, a charity that
collects backpacks for students and many
other causes. For Northwest's 70th anniversary, Taddeo spearheaded her biggest
charitable effort yet: a plan to perform
70 acts of service - from collecting hats
and gloves for homeless people to paying
off a loan for a Northwest member going
through a hardship.

Alyce Justin, St. Cloud Federal Credit
Union, St. Cloud, Minn.

Co-workers say Justin's legacy is her
unwavering willingness to "go above
and beyond what is expected." Justin's
forward-thinking style is evident
throughout the credit union's history -
especially in her decision to launch an
online banking service more than 10 years
ago. Her determination helped lead St.
Cloud through challenges, including the
financial crisis. Justin even headed up a
merger in 2016.
Justin has also led St. Cloud in giving
back to the community. She launched
a formal financial literacy program for
community members. She also created
the "Skip a Pay" program, through
which St. Cloud members can pay a
fee to skip a payment and divert $5 of
the fee to a community cause such as
providing lunches for veterans. Justin's
leadership and devotion can be seen
in every aspect of St. Cloud and in its
relationship with members.

Paul J. Marotta, Hanscom Federal Credit
Union, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass.

Hanscom employees say Marotta has set
a standard for active board involvement
and volunteerism even as the credit
union grew to have assets of more than
$1 billion, expanded to 18 locations in
two states and went from 15,000 members to 71,000 members. Marotta has
ensured that all volunteers are enrolled
in NAFCU's Government Action Network and that they stay active in credit
union advocacy.
Marotta pushes Hanscom to respond to
members' developing needs; for instance,
he helped create the Hanscom Insurance
Agency, a credit union service organization (CUSO), to help members with
home and auto insurance needs. He also
prioritizes community involvement.
Marotta was instrumental in creating the
Hanscom FCU Charitable Foundation,
for which he serves as secretary. The
foundation has provided $300,000 to
the Home Base Program, which serves
military service members returning from
deployments who have traumatic brain
injuries and post-traumatic stress disorder. Nearby Lowell High School's Junior
Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC)
program even established the Paul J.
Marotta Reach for the Stars Award in his
honor to recognize outstanding cadets.
