Key Leadership Staff Changes for NATA in the New Year
Continued from page 13

Earlier you used the phrase “hit the ground running.”
What are your first priorities?
Tom set the tone for what he wants the organization to be
under his leadership. We will develop relationships in both
the legislative and executive branches of government to let
them know what our members bring to the table, what they
bring to the economy — really explain what we do and what
we represent — and educate them where there are gaps.
There is some work to be done, immediately, on each of
those fronts, and I am looking forward to it.

You must know, as well as anybody, some of the
challenges NATA faces in the political realm.
We want to work with both sides of the aisle in the Congress,
work with all the various departments and agencies, to
ensure that government bureaucracy does not get in the way
of our members being successful and to ensure that those

who are involved in shaping legislation and regulations
consider our members’ views before moving forward.
NATA has a diverse group of people and businesses, and we
will have a much stronger voice here. I’m excited by these
challenges.

There has been a lot of organizational leadership change
at NATA this year. What do you make of the team you’re
joining?
The new leadership team at NATA is extremely focused
and we will be as effective as we possibly can be for our
members. I think Tom is a great leader: he is very organized
and has a strong vision for where he wants to take this
association. Amy is very knowledgeable and capable, and the
team at NATA is an incredible group. We will move in the
same direction and we all have similar mindsets about how
we want to position the organization and make it as effective
as we possibly can for our members.
