What employees desire at work-and what delivers a positive employee experience-has changed drastically, perhaps forever. Safety and security, a flexible working environment, support from leaders, and
inclusion are more important than they have ever been. These changes can be seen most strongly perhaps
in the under-40 cadre of professionals, who have embraced the remote work life and a greater focus on
employee well-being. For deeper insights on this trend, we reached out to members of Worldwide ERC®'s
YP40 community to ask: As a young professional, what do you most appreciate and desire in terms of
your own personal employee experience?
These are a couple of
things I would consider
that can bring a greater
employee experience
within an organization.
" Being in a customeroriented function like
global mobility, one
thing I would really
appreciate is feedback
provided to the concerned person in a timely
manner. This would really help me to expedite
the required customer service to our internal or
external clients. 
There should be opportunities provided to have
cross-function movement within various HR
verticals or other verticals. This would enhance our
knowledge and allow us to face real-time situations
and gain valuable knowledge and experience.
Lastly, everyone had a challenging year in 2020.
The organization should consider that period as
lessons learnt and not just focusing on cost alone.
It would be valuable to launch an engagement

initiative-for managers to better assess their
interest in and interactions with their fellow
employees, or to create a transparent forum for
employees to participate [in] and brainstorm their
ideas-which would help us to focus on innovation and growth.

two things that
employers can do to

institutional support to
learn and grow within
a role. I truly appreciate
when there is consistent communication, from the
C-suite down to my individual manager, and a
