customized solution. So, we should replicate that
expectation in our talent mobility programs. For
example, we could have a one-stop-shop
mobile-centric experience so transferees can
accomplish many of their move logistics via their
mobile phone in one app. There they could access
all the information related to their move, be it
cross-cultural resources, household goods
shipment tracking, tailored housing options, etc.
The transferee should also have access to a chatbot
or 24/7 live support to get questions answered at
any time of the day. To achieve this vision,
strategic partners will need to have the appropriate data readily available and [to make it] easy to
integrate via data feeds.
Mobility: The relocation process can create a plethora of paperwork for relocating
employees and their families, and some of
this may be repetitive information across
several vendors. This is a continual issue
faced by corporations, and some in the
industry are working on trying to streamline
this process with data sharing and technology in conjunction with other suppliers and
you. Can you talk about this challenge and
potential solutions? 
Brezosky: This is definitely an area where a

good technology " hub tool " can add tremendous
value in streamlining completion of forms, and
even more importantly can eliminate the need
for employees to provide the same information
to multiple providers (e.g., a passport to both an

goes without saying, but a mobility technology
hub tool can also streamline so many other things
such as accounts payable, service initiations,
workflow, and reporting-ultimately creating
bandwidth for mobility professionals to focus on
more meaningful work.
Bui: One initial investment of time would be
to review all the information required by each
process, consolidate to one form for the general
information, add subsections for the process​specific information, and do an initial intake process with the employee to get the pain of it done
upfront to speed up the process down the line. It
would be great if there were a version of a form for
this generated by our human capital management
system that could get core biographic information
about the employee/job/location to kick it off.
Kiepura: Smaller programs such as ours-we
move about 75 people per year, pre-COVID-
typically need to spend their dollars wisely.
While it is exciting to see technology develop
to meet this challenge, implementing a solution
requires contracts, continuous management of
global government regulations, cost, and trust.
While it may be inconvenient to provide personal information to multiple vendors-hopefully via a secure channel!-some employees are
not comfortable with someone else controlling
and sharing their PI and would rather have
control over convenience.
Woods: A big challenge is privacy concerns.
What kind of data is being shared? Is it considered personally identifiable information? Are we
allowed to share it, or do we need certain agreements in place to avoid being out of compliance
with varying global privacy laws? If strategic
partners need to share information, then the
procurement department for the transferee's
company may want to review the agreements
in place between the partners to ensure that all
parties have the right data protection safeguards
and agreements in place. Besides the privacy
aspect, to be successful with data sharing, both
partners need to be willing and able to set up
the necessary integrations to physically move the
data. This can take a lot of coordination, but it is
well worth it in the end!
