GOING DIGITAL BOTTLED WATER REPORTER NOW ONLINE Be among the first to read the new, online edition of IBWA’s informative, bottled water-specific magazine, Bottled Water Reporter. The digital issue enables readers to read while at their computers; share issues with employees, coworkers, family, and friends; and conduct keyword searches. To check out the digital version of this issue, visit http:// www.nxtbook.com/ygsreprints/ygs/G12345_IBWA_ DecJan0910/index.php. Open the online mag, and take a little time to get comfortable with some of the online features, such as the following: • Top, far right icon featuring a square with arrows pointing away from it allows you to view the online magazine in fullscreen mode. • To the left of that, the magnifying glass icon enables readers to conduct keyword searches. • The upturned corners enable readers to turn pages, just by placing their cursors on the corner and clicking their mouse. (Notice the cool page-turning sound effect.) • At the left of your screen, you’ll notice the Zoom button, which increases the page size. • To the right of the Zoom button, you’ll notice a Close-Up button, which mimics the effect of a handheld magnifying glass. Just click on Close-Up, and a pop-up box appears that greatly magnifies the size of the text located directly under the box. Just use your cursor to move this “digital magnifying glass” around the page. With a little practice, you’ll be hooked on reading these bimonthly digital editions of Bottled Water Reporter. IBWA has embraced this innovation because it potentially expands the reach and impact of our content and our advertisers, which adds real value to their communications investment in IBWA’s magazine. It also gives our readers, the ability to share issues with a click of the mouse. And IBWA’s Government Relations, Technical and Scientific Relations, and Communications teams have a new tool to communicate with legislators, reporters, educators, and other important contacts. Let us know what you think about the digital edition of Bottled Water Reporter by emailing IBWA’s Publications Manager Sabrina Hicks: shicks@bottledwater.org. DECEMBER 2009/JANUARY 2010
