The custom case piece—which carries merchandise for a small hotel gift shop—bears text painted on by graf ti artist Jimmy Martin. All that phrasing is built around the most prominent word, “Infatuation.” Explains principal Lauren Rottet: “In my mind, ‘infatuation’ was for anything—a person, lifestyle, design or culture. I knew that would appeal to the guests of this hotel, who are generally Type A personalities who want to know the ins and outs of everything associated with their passions.”
