the nearby Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. The Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers
share a Surprise facility, and the San Diego Padres
and Seattle Mariners work out in Peoria. Goodyear
hosts the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Indians,
and Glendale is home to the Chicago White Sox
and Los Angeles Dodgers. The Milwaukee Brewers
are in Maryvale, the Los Angeles Angels in Tempe,
the Chicago Cubs in Mesa and the Oakland Athletics in Phoenix. With overlapping game schedules
to choose from, a devoted fan can watch parts of
several games in one day. Get a jump on the season
by training in one of the several fantasy camps that
some of the teams conduct in January.
Once the teams leave for their hometowns, the Diamondbacks stay to play out the season in Phoenix.

Arizona's warm springs make it the perfect
destination for MLB Spring Training.
When October rolls around, MLB prospects from around the country divide into
six teams and head to Greater Phoenix to play in the MLB Fall League.
There are many other professional teams to keep a sports nut busy. The National Basketball Association's Phoenix Suns and Women NBA's Mercury provide
hoop entertainment in Phoenix almost all year. Arena Football's Arizona Rattlers play in the same Phoenix venue, US Airways Center, in spring and summer.

Hockey League's Phoenix Coyotes.

Phoenix Open in Scottsdale, while the ladies
tee off in March's RR Donnelley LPGA Founders Cup in Phoenix. NASCAR makes pit stops at
Phoenix International Raceway in Avondale in
March for its Nationwide and Sprint Cup series
and in November for the Camping World Truck
Series. While you're here for the racing, stop by
the Penske Racing Museum in Phoenix to admire NASCAR and Indy racers.
