irls are sparing no expense when it comes to
bachelorette parties, curating over-the-top
bashes to celebrate the brides in their lives.
These partygoers are gathering in larger groups than
before - and spending more per attendee - according
to the 2023 special report by Batch, a party-planning
app. The average total spend on a bachelorette trip per
group is $10,800, approximately $3,000 higher than the
average three years ago. Additionally, the majority of
bachelorettes now begin on Thursday instead of Friday.
As such, products that celebrate the soon-to-be-Mrs.
are in high demand, and the industry is taking notice.
While Nashville plays host to 20% of bachelorette parties,
according to Batch, beach and pool venues are gaining
popularity, and wholesalers are creating products to
accommodate this trend.
" We have catered to that by creating giftable beach
towels, vacation-themed travel cases, tote bags, hair
accessories and more, " said Lauren Brekke, vice
president of merchandise at Mud Pie. " Bachelorette
parties often feature the bride in all-white looks, so
retailers should consider carrying a selection of fun
dresses, jewelry and bags for the bride. "
Social media carries a major influence on bachelorette
themes. Coordinating apparel and accessories are on the
rise to create a party aesthetic that is entirely Instagramand
TikTok-worthy.

" It's all about having the cutest gear for the perfect
Instagram photo, " Brekke said. " Think 'Bride' or 'Mrs.'

As the parties become more extravagant, brides and
their designated bachelorette planners have become
more creative with themes, according to Xo, Fetti, a
bachelorette partyware company.

gotten to design into super niche categories that we
never would have dreamed of a few years back. It used to
be rose gold everything, but now we have girls emailing
us asking for baby blue backdrops, bedazzled opera
gloves and rainbow plates. The personalization really
helps to give the party that extra special touch, so we're
definitely here for it! "
Another trend emerging in the bachelorette space is a
girls' retreat that prioritizes wellness over a weekend of
partying and one-too-many cocktails.
" We are seeing a huge trend in self-care items for
bachelorette parties - especially among Gen Z. It's
become popular to nourish your body and focus on
restoration and relaxation rather than staying out late
and partying. Yoga, hiking and spa weekends have risen
in popularity, " Brekke said. " To cater to that, Mud Pie
has developed silk pajama sets, slipper and eye mask
sets, terry-cloth gift sets and manicure kits. Best-sellers
so far this season are the bouclé beach towels, bouclé
word totes and the bride patch case. "
The tried-and-true formula for a bachelorette bash,
however, is still popular, complete with girly colors,
martinis and risqué partyware.
