choose one's training site by visiting it and spending time with future
mentors are all suffering. If there is a silver lining, it is in reminding
future doctors and nurses that medicine is not, and never has been, a
"safe" profession; that our oath includes putting our patients' welfare
ahead of our own, and even our family's. If this isn't what they thought
they signed for, at least there is time to consider a career change.
