Five speakers will present a treatment for a specific podiatric condition and defend the treatment protocol using scientific evidence and literature. The track takes place from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 16, with each speaker having 10 minutes to present his or her treatment protocol and defend it. At the end of the five presentations, attendees will vote to determine if the presenters successfully justified their treatment protocols with the evidence they presented. The American College of Foot & Ankle Orthopedics & Medicine (ACFAOM) will present a hands-on ultrasound workshop from 12:30–4 p.m. Wednesday. The American Society of Podiatric Surgeons (ASPS) will offer a cadaver workshop on the use of locking plates during the same time. ACFAOM will return with its annual track on practical solutions for clinical dilemmas, including sessions on osteoporosis, stress fractures, and diabetic foot ulcers.
