PRSE
Plastics Recycling
Show Europe 2019

PRSE Virtual Event to take
place from 9 to 11 December
Rather than opting for a physical event, this year's Plastics Recycling Show Europe
(PRSE) will now run as a virtual event from 9 to 11 December 2020. The 2020 show
had been scheduled for 27-28 October at the RAI in Amsterdam. PRSE will return as
an in-person event in 2021.

T

he event organisers
had worked closely with the venue to
implement enhanced
health and safety measures in
line with government guidance
so that PRSE could take place
this October. However, the decision to postpone the event was
made after consultation with all
the event's stakeholders and
with careful consideration of
current restrictions on international travel.
"This decision to postpone
does not come easily, but we
are confident that it is the best
solution in securing the health
and safety of all our participants," said Ton Emans, Plastics
Recyclers Europe president.
"PRSE is adapting to the realities of today, and with that we
are determined to fulfil the expectations of our audience as
the show evolves."
"We had already been look-

ing at livestreaming elements
of the event for those who
might not have been able to
attend," added Matt Barber,
Event Director at Crain Communications. "We are delighted
to be able to offer the plastics
recycling industry a virtual
event this December to share
all the latest knowledge and innovation, while giving participants opportunities to network
and learn that they tell us they
prize so much at PRSE."
The new PRSE Virtual event
will include a three-day conference organised by Plastics
Recyclers Europe, the announcement of the winners of
the Plastics Recycling Awards
Europe, as well as additional
promotional, interactive and
networking
opportunities.
Sponsored "Ask the Expert"
Livestreams with Q & A's will
also run daily.
A unique matchmaking ser-

vice will run at PRSE Virtual,
creating networking opportunities for participants and easy
opportunities to connect buyers
and sellers. Each attendee will
be given recommended matches based on their registration
profiles and be able to search for
additional matches using category and keyword filters. Attendees will also be able to chat and
to request and accept video call
meet ups via the application.
Over three days the PRSE
Virtual conference will examine the latest developments in
plastics recycling and practical solutions for the circular
and sustainable use of plastics, dealing with plastic waste
and better design for recycling.
Materials focus sessions will explore in depth the challenges,
issues and opportunities within
the sector for plastics recycling.
After attracting more entries
than ever before, the Plastics

Recycling Awards Europe will
announce the 2020 winners on
10 December, the second day of
the event. The seven award categories, each hotly contested,
are: Automotive, Electrical or
Electronic Product; Building &
Construction Product; Household & Leisure Product; Plastic
Packaging Product; Product
Technology Innovation; Recycling Machinery Innovation and
Plastics Recycling Ambassador.
Organised jointly by Crain
Communications and Plastics
Recyclers Europe, PRSE is a
pan-European event designed
specifically for plastics recycling
professionals. It brings together key players from across the
entire plastics recycling value
chain to showcase innovative
technology, share best practice,
network and do business.
