contributors Tina M. Cho (“Grands across the Sea,” page 22) is a freelance writer who lives with her husband and children in Southern California. Tina is a former elementary teacher of 11 years. She has written 15 stories for a Christian school’s reading curriculum, is a book reviewer for the Christian Library Journal and writes lessons for the educational market. Lillian Carson, d.S.W., (“Bypassed for Bio Mom,” page 32) is a nationally recognized grandparenting expert and the author of The Essential Grandparent: A Guide to Making a Difference . Susan Cross (“O, Say, Can You Sing?” page 28) writes short fiction, children’s stories and poetry. She lives in Oviedo, Florida. Lily Dawn Robertson (“Hear and now,” page 30) is a natural health practitioner in Parksville, British Columbia, Canada, where she facilitates workshops on health, mental, emotional and spiritual subjects. She and her husband (and grandchildren!) enjoy golfing, hiking and canoeing. Suzanne Finley (“Grand’s 2009 Sexiest Granddad,” page 34) is a freelance writer who makes her home in the metro detroit area with her husband, two children, one beautiful grandchild and five male cats who all have quirks of their own. She is the author of her blog, “Liam’s Grandma or Maggie in real Life” . Patricia Goedicke (1931-2006) (“alma de Casa,” page 54) published 12 volumes of poetry, which earned an impressive range of recognition, including a New York Times notable Book of the Year and a William Carlos Williams award. She taught for many years at the University of Montana. Marcia Moston (“nailing It,” page 42), a former Vermont high school teacher and busy pastor’s wife, now resides in South Carolina, where she and her husband are pursuing change-of-life careers. She has contributed as a weekly columnist to her new hometown newspaper, the Greenville Journal, and is currently writing a memoir about her family’s experiences as missionaries in a remote Mayan village. She and her husband have five children and eight grandchildren. Dorothy Roadman (“Love of the rings,” page 46) lives in napa, California, and is the city clerk for the city of american Canyon. She and her husband have two daughters—one in Cape Coral, Florida, and one in denver—and five grandchildren. “My biggest complaint in my life is that I don’t see my grandchildren enough.” Melinda Bäumle (“Grands across the Sea,” cover and page 22) is a freelance photographer who lives in Pasadena, California, with her husband and 1-year-old twins. Her current hobbies include sleeping and getting dressed before noon. In the next few months, she anticipates starting an all-day, short-distance sprinting regimen.
