Abcs Event Presented by
the Tampa bay chapter
In keeping with their chapter motto
"Learn, Do, Teach," the RAS Tampa Bay
Chapter hosted an Arduino Microcontroller Workshop on 6 October 2012
(see Figure 1). An RAS Chapter Development Grant funded the workshop,
which was held on the campus of the
University of South Florida (USF) in
conjunction with the USF IEEE Student
Chapter and the Hillsborough Community College Engineering Society.
"Learning Your ABCs (Arduino
Breadboarding Circuits)" was a handson introduction for 32 high-school and
college students to the basic concepts of
voltage, current, and resistance, the use
of a multimeter, the fundamentals of
Arduino microcontrollers, breadboarding and hardware device interfacing,
and the rudiments of Arduino programming (see Figure 2).
