WHEN SWALLOWING
BECOMES A PROBLEM
Difficulty swallowing is
common as Parkinson's
disease progresses and can
cause significant quality-oflife changes. Are you or your
loved one with Parkinson's
disease struggling with these
changes? Join a group of
medical professionals from
UM Charles Regional Medical
Center for a presentation and
Q&A session at 6 p.m. June 27.
Topics will include Parkinson's
disease and its progression;
voice and swallowing
problems and treatment;
community resources; and
steps you can take to prepare
for the future. Presenters include palliative care physician
assistant Deborah Araya,
