Wilson Associates, one of the world’s leading interior architectural design firms, hosts its Point of Excellence awards events each year in Los Angeles and Dallas, to honor excellence in service to the design industry. This year, the award winners were Elsie Dahlin of ELA–Environmental Lighting for Architecture, Inc., and Sandy Matthews Raczka, representing Charles Lamp/Spectrum. Both Dahlin and Raczka are members of the Los Angeles Founding Chapter. In presenting the awards, Jerry Beale and Stacey Crockett of Wilson Associates’ Los Angeles office in Beverly Hills praised the two for their excellent work, and for consistently going “above and beyond” in client service. Proceeds from the luncheon benefit the Wilson Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded by Trisha Wilson in 1997, which raises money to support education and health care programs primarily in rural South Africa, an area impacted by poverty, a struggling educational system, and a critical shortage of trained health care workers. Dedicated to supporting the myriad needs of a country devastated by HIV/AIDS, the foundation’s mission is to “make a difference, one child at a time.” Recipe for Success Ana Maria Martinez Stumpo, Pacific Hospitality Design and Los Angeles Founding Chapter programming director, and Sherri Witkowski, Smith and Hawken Contract and LA Chapter’s president, greet fellow members at the chapter’s Scholarship Awards Dinner in May at Maggiano’s at the Grove.
