To date, Project Spark has worked with nine national
organizations with plans to expand their reach in 2020.
Student ACES, athletics,
character, education,
is a 501 c3 non-profit
organization dedicated to
inspiring every student
to achieve a foundation of honor, character, and integrity that will leave a positive, permanent impression on
their teams, schools and communities. What started as a
dream with just 32 students has, over the years and with
much support and diligence, grown to a world-class organization that has served more than 24,000 high school
student-athletes to date.

children build foundational values,
establish goals, and improve academic
readiness and life skills while enhancing their self-esteem and confidence.
Take Stock in Children changes lives
by offering long-term educational
support, one-on-one mentoring, and
the opportunity for a full-tuition scholarship.
Midas Project Spark,
launched in 2018, is a
national initiative created
to help more than 1,000
families, veterans, and first
responders get back on the
road. Doing what they do best, repairing cars, and being
a good neighbor, Midas created Project Spark as a longterm initiative with a substantial corporate commitment.
Midas is aware that owning a vehicle opens access to
new employment opportunities, access to healthcare, and
more affordable housing. Midas Project Spark's vision
is to help change the lack of transportation issues that
millions face today by providing safe and reliable vehicles
to its recipients.
Midas activated Project Spark intending to reach every
DMA in the system. Currently, the outreach program
has reached 17 states and recently celebrated the first
donation in Canada. Franchisees participate by either
repairing a donated vehicle from 1-800-Charity Cars
or by identifying a customer or local family in need.

Seeing a need to make a difference, have an impact,
and leave everything better, a TBC core value, TBC team
members, decided to get involved with Student ACES.
In 2016, TBC coined the Tire Kingdom Student ACES
Athlete of the Month program. The program recognizes
high school student-athletes who are driven to become
tomorrow's leaders. These young men and women
aspire to greatness by demonstrating a winning attitude,
selflessly sacrificing for others, earning trust and respect,
and living their lives with a code of honor and integrity.
Associates have taken it a step further to get involved with
speaking and teaching opportunities to help ACES participants and garnering representation on the Board of Directors. Most recently, IT and Marketing team members
donated time and resources to setting up and branding
the computer lab in the first Student ACES Center.
United Way Worldwide and
National Tire Wholesale
(NTW), a subsidiary of
TBC Corporation, began
their relationship shortly
after the establishment of NTW in 2018. Their initiative
was launched at NTW's inaugural National Meeting,
where more than four-hundred distribution center and
sales associates packed over 4,700 meals for the homeless. Throughout 2019, ten DCs worked with their
local United Way chapters to prepare over 500 hygiene
kits distributed within their community to support
the homeless population. NTW is excited to expand
outreach in the years to come and help the United Way
fight for the health, education, and financial stability of
every individual within a community.
