RR Media Selects
Argosy Solutions
GBR: Argosy has announced that
its range of infrastructure products
have been chosen by RR Media
to form the backbone of its new
global media centre in London.
Products include equipment racks,
Image 360 and 1000 HD cables,
connectors, patch panels and
mains distributions units.
A new building in Acton, west
London, the centre provides a wide
range of digital media solutions
including content preparation,
playout and online video services
for live, global and local multiscreen delivery.

Userful Teams With
Blackmagic Design
CAN: Userful has announced
integration and support for
Blackmagic Design's DeckLink Duo,
DeckLink Quad and Intensity Pro
4K capture and playback cards.
This enables a PC to capture
multiple real-time SD, HD or 4K
UHD video streams and deliver
them over an IP network to up to
25 displays.
The PCIe capture and playback
cards coupled with Userful's
appliance software reduces the
cost of deploying video walls and
other centrally managed displays.

Panasonic Upgrades
Boost VariCam
NED: At IBC, Panasonic announced
upgrades and improvements to its
VariCam 35 camera.
Firmware upgrades will support
ProRes 4444 at up to 60fps in
HD, while recording in ProRes
also enables a PreREC (pre-roll)
function.
Other upgrades include Codex
V-RAW recorder playback support,
anamorphic lens support, image
flip-flop functionality, and the
ability to decrease the ISO setting.
A 20m extension cable enables the
recorder and camera head to be
split apart.

Vizrt And Ncam Deal

partnered with Vizrt to bolster the
global reach of Ncam's real-time virtual
camera tracking technology.

ENEX, BCE And Streambox

CE (Broadcasting Center Europe),
Streambox Inc. and ENEX recently
signed an agreement to deploy new
LIVE features to over 50 leading
broadcasters around the globe using
the enhanced BCE Newslink Platform.
Newslink initial platform, build
to offer video file sharing, will now
have the capabilities to share realtime HD content from any ENEX
broadcast member to another using
the sophisticated cloud streaming
technology.
