The event focuses on the utilization of residues from industries, agriculture and alternative energy sources. Participants include entrepreneurs, technicians, researchers and professionals from biomass, biofuels, energy generation and alternative energy. The BioTech Fair — International Fair of Technology in Bioenergy and Biofuels is planned in conjunction with the Congress. It will bring together companies offering technologies for producing renewable energy from agricultural residues, forestry, sugarcane and urban waste. Some of the topics to be covered include energy crops in Brazil, conflicts in land use, the world’s carbon market, effects of biofuels on carbon dioxide emissions, research funding, technologies for biomass conversion, biomass gasification, energy co-generation, infrastructure and innovation for bioenergy development and incentives.
