Valet Customers at San Diego International Airport Now Can “Text” For Their Cars Upon Return
The San Diego International Airport and technology leader Zingle are now offering valet parking customers the ability to text in their valet ticket number when they land for faster car retrieval. The service is free to use and reduces returning travelers’ wait time, while also helping improve customer service and increase the number of patrons the airport can serve with its existing staff. Zingle’s service is very easy to use. A valet parking customer simply sends a text message with their valet ticket number to the designated, 10-digit Zingle text messaging number when they return from their trip. A confirmation text message is sent back to the customer, letting them know that their request was received and that their car will be curbside soon. McCarran International Airport and MasterCard Worldwide Bring Contactless Payments to Airport Parking
McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas and MasterCard Worldwide announced that the airport now accepts MasterCard® PayPass™ contactless payments in its major parking lots. This implementation will allow travelers to simply tap their MasterCard PayPass contactless cards or devices at exit lanes, rather than fumble for cash, to pay for their parking. In 2009, McCarran International Airport was the seventh-busiest airport in North America, serving more than 40 million passengers. MasterCard PayPass implementation helps reduce airport congestion by streamlining parking payments, thereby improving the airport experience for travelers. MasterCard PayPass will be accepted in 64 locations, including 31 pay stations and 33 entry/ exit lanes at the airport’s four main parking lots.
