Someone said Agfa’sbut it’s much M2540 FB is an entry-level printer,
more than that. In Agfa’s world, entry level, today, refers to its sixcolor (CMYK Lc Lm) plus white ink, UV-cure, flatbed printer that performs far beyond any echelon term’s implications. For example, the Anapurna M2540 FB UV’s oversized table allows you to print media up to 8.3 x 5 ft. (and 1.77 in. thick) with borderless print capability, meaning you don’t post trim size – a fantastic addition, we think. Further, its “revolutionary,” two-zone, four-compartment, vacuum system allows you to easily print differentsize media and/or use separate sections for different jobs on the same print run. When reversed (the airflow is bi-directional), it becomes an airlift system that assists in handling heavy (up to 176 lbs.)

You can double-side print (the M2540 FB has 11 retractable, register pins) or double-layer the white-on-clear materials. You can also alternate the print palettes or colors to create special effects. The printer’s accuracy allows pre- and post-print, white-ink runs, so you can apply white ink as a spot color or layer it on dark surfaces for effects – or apply it to transparent media for backlit signs. Expectedly, the M2540 FB’s independent, onboard, white-ink system automatically and regularly stirs the ink. Additionally, a headcapping station prevents the printheads from clogging. Also, safety sensors prevent printhead media strikes, and an audible signal and light indicates ink needs by color. Did we mention that Ionizer elements ensure optimum inkdroplet control by eliminating electrostatic build up – and the installed ink bottles are accessed easily, and a handy side tray stores your ink?
